Rain Forest Aerial Tram – Atlantic

It currently has the longest and only guided tram tour in the country and it’s located on 1,100 acres of lush tropical rain forest serving as an important six and a half-mile long buffer zone for Braulio Carrillo National Park. For this very important reason, you will find many different species of birds and forest creatures roaming around the trees as you go from side to side in the gondolas of the cable car above the canopy of the trees in this tour that last for about an hour and fifteen minutes. Also, this tour includes walking among the trails of the property, a visit to the butterfly garden and lunch inside the facilities of the place.

Itinerary

The Rain Forest Aerial Tram is a unique eco-tourism and research facility that opened in October 1994, and is located on 1,100 acres of lush tropical rain forest serving as an important six and a half-mile long buffer zone for Braulio Carrillo National Park.

The Tram takes visitors on a fascinating excursion through the canopy of the rain forest with its hanging gardens of plants and animals hidden at the tops of tall tropical trees. Home to two-thirds of all rain forest species, the rain forest canopy is a little-known world of tremendous beauty and extraordinary biological diversity. The site, adjacent to the northern border of Braulio Carrillo National Park, possesses one of the richest canopy communities in the world. After your adventure you will be having lunch (included) at the restaurant located at the Aerial Tram property.
