Itinerary
9:00 a.m.
Approximate pick-up time at your hotel to start your adventure towards the Arenal Volcano area. On your way, you will have the opportunity to admire some of the most important coffee plantations in Costa Rica. Your guide will explain the evolution of this product and its important role in the history of this country. The tour goes through the province of Sarchí, Naranjo, and San Ramón.
1:30 p.m.
Arrival in the town of La Fortuna, where you will enjoy a delicious lunch – included – in one of the local restaurants.
2:30 p.m.
Approximate arrival time at the Tabacón Grand Spa and Thermal Resort or similar. You will have plenty of time to relax and enjoy the therapeutic benefits of these thermal waters, as you sit back and enjoy in one of the many pools.
6:30 p.m.
A delicious buffet dinner at the resort’s restaurant will be served. After dinner you will be driven to your hotel in the area where you will overnight.
6:30 a.m.
A delightful breakfast will be served at your hotel.
7:00 a.m.
Departure to Monteverde by crossing the lake Arenal by boat, a wonderful opportunity to observe the volcano from a different point of view. Upon arrival on the other side of the lake you will continue with a shuttle bus to the hotel in Monteverde, where you will have some free time (approx. 2 hours) before your tour.
1:30 p.m.
Transfer from the Hotel to Sky Walk & Sky Trek, a secure system of trails, bridges and zip lines, in the Monteverde Cloud Forest that offers visitors the opportunity to observe and appreciate the nature from different vantage points of view.
4:30 p.m.
Approximate return time to the hotel.
7:30 a.m.
An excellent breakfast is served at your hotel.
8:30 a.m.
Departure time to return to San José, arriving approximately at 1 p.m.
